Blog and Pony Show

  Today's version of Works for Me Wednesday is a reversal, in that I need to know what works for you.

See, I want to make my blog better. Tell me the coolest thing you've done with your blog, especially how to do that little signature thing, etc.  Don't forget typepad is my host, sometimes it makes a difference in what one can and more importantly, can't do!

Also I need all you bloggin' friends to let me know if you want to exchange some link love.  I'd love to add you to my blogroll, if you'll add me to yours.

Audra, I will add you to my blog roll baby! Come on over! As for all of the fun little quirky stuff, have you taken a look at Blog Coach? She always has good stuff on there for adding to your blog. BTW, I have no idea how to do a lot of this stuff, I am a newbie and had a blog designer do it. I am reading up on a lot!

I use typepad too...seems more difficult to change some things, but I think the good outweihs the difficult. I used the mylivesignature too, I just put the code in word, and paste it (click the "A" in the bar above my post) everytime. I don't even know if I do that correectly, but it gets the job done.

I think I used the same site for the signature. But, I couldn't find a color/style I liked. So, I made one just so I could see what general size it should be, and then made a new one in Photoshop. :)

but you can't have ads with their service. Doesn't bother me, I don't have enough readers to generate money, and my writing isn't for that purpose anyway, just a great hangout for Moms. I didn't know where to get a signature either, so I copy and paste mine in from Word. About your backwards question, one of the coolest things I've done on my blog is to have a "Top Commentators" widget. I've noticed that people try to compete to see who can comment the most. It's too cool!

I have to say the best thing I did for my blog was meet another blogger with graphic design abilities. We traded cooking tips (from me) for blog goodies (header, signature, buttons, etc...)

Hmm. Less is more on the graphic stuff in my opinion.

As for tips... I think you're doing the most important thing already because you are constantly engaging others in community through comments, links, and good writing.

In the end, that's what matters the most.

Dog it! (That sounds Kindergarten, doesn't it?) I missed the revered WFMW! What a cool thing to ask, though! I'll tell you...I'm lovin' it. I love love love the ocean. I told you that, right?

I like pics. I know many people are protective when it comes to pics of themselves and their families. Your blog pic is beautiful, by the way. Anyway, I like pics woven throughout posts. Can't always add them and don't always need to, but when you can.....I think it's cool.
