Works For Me Wed. (Brotherly Love)

This is "Mason in the Middle" teaching his younger brother to play the string bass.  Two years ago, Mason's orchestra teacher said he was "born to play the bass."  Last February he sat first chair of 8 basses in the All-City Honor Orchestra.  I don't think we'll find a more apt teacher at this point, well especially not for this price!

Please don't misunderstand, our boys are regular little men.  They are "I'll wrestle you to the ground for the last Oreo" little men.   But when these ultra-rare moments come along, where they actually help each other....well that works for me on Wednesday and anytime!

There was a time when I wanted to play the bass. Then I was told I was too small, so I wanted to play cello. Then I was told I was too small. So I wanted to play viola.

And I ended up with a half-sized violin.

What a sweet moment. I had one today, when my 3 year old lifted her 1 1/2 year old sister onto the potty to try to teach her...ha! The older one then said, "Here, watch me. I will show you how to do it." Be still my heart! Thanks for sharing. By the way, what are you writing for?

Those are super sweet pictures. And I laughed out loud at the Oreo line. The last Oreo in our house is more valuable than cash money. Kids will sneak them... grown ups will stash them. :) The winner, of course, is usually our 4-year-old daughter who takes the bag into her room, licks all the creamy insides out and then puts the cookies back in the pantry for some unsuspecting Oreo snacker.
